RIDER STORIES
Three Softail Builds We're Loving Right Now
The Motion Drifters community isn't building cookie-cutter bikes. Every rider who reaches out shows us something a little different — same drifter mindset, completely different execution. Here are three Softail builds that caught our eye this month.
1. The Blacked-Out Stunt Build
Low and tight. This build runs our 6" pullback risers in black alongside stunt foot pegs, built for a rider chasing an aggressive, forward-leaning stance over pure stunt performance. Every non-essential part stripped or blacked out — nothing on this bike is there for show.
Parts on this build:
- 6" rise pullback risers, black
- Stunt foot pegs, black, rider position
- Derby cover, black
2. The Chrome Tourer
Long days, long roads. This rider went with our 10.5" pullback risers in chrome for a relaxed, arms-up stance built for highway miles, paired with a VVT Gen2 cover to keep the classic chrome theme consistent across the engine. A build made for putting on miles, not just parking-lot photos.
Parts on this build:
- 10.5" rise pullback risers, chrome
- VVT Gen2 cover, chrome
- Drifters jean jacket, worn on every ride
3. The Everyday Custom
Not every build needs to be extreme to be right. This rider kept it balanced — 8" straight risers in chrome, a derby cover swap, and the tactical drifters vest for daily riding gear. Proof that a clean, well-thought-out build beats an over-built one every time.
Parts on this build:
- 8" rise straight risers, chrome
- Derby cover, chrome
- Drifters vest, tactical black
